What a special and moving day for me both personally and professionally when I received the Glen de Vries Epic Award from Medidata on November 8th. Glen was co-founder and co-CEO of Medidata Solutions from its inception in 1999. He was an inspirational leader whose vision, passion, humor, glorious laugh and empathy set him apart. He pursued life to the fullest - from racing cars to exploring space to flying planes - all while building one of the most successful health technology companies in the world. Two years ago we lost him, but I felt his presence today as I accepted this award bearing his name. What a privilege to be recognized by Glen's friends and colleagues - this is an honor I will cherish forever.
